Misplaced Oakies, and originally from Montana and Connecticut respectively, modern-day pioneers Steve and Denise Bryant set out for Vermont in 2004 to help friends of theirs start a church.

Staying in a summer cabin with winter approaching, it was necessary for them to find a more permanent place to call home. They found a great apartment above their original retail space in Orleans, and with the convincing of their landlord, decided to rent the entire building. Not sure what to use the space for, his "If it were me..." started a dream that soon became a successful reality.

Quickly outgrowing their first building, they moved to Barton in 2006, taking over the old five-and-dime's 4,500 sq.ft. building, tripling their space, and adding over 20 more vendors booths.
